Liberation War Of Bangladesh

Bangladesh is an independent country. It is the smallest country of south Asia. It was under the colonial rule of autocratic Pakistani rulers for long 25 years. But 1970 in the general election the people of east Pakistan gave verdict in favour of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The deep aspirations of crores people of this area become successful with the Awami league winning in the election. But unfortunately the Pakistani ruler Yahyia cancelled the result. The Pakistani forces swooped on the innocent people of Bangladesh on 25th March, 1971. A massacre of the innocent civilians was committed by the hyenas of the Pakistani military on this dark night. The courageous sons of this soil organized themselves to fight against the Pakistani Army. Men and women of all ages got their names enlisted as the freedom fighters. The Indian government came to help us. Thus the allied forces started fighting against the Pakistani occupying forces. The guerilla attack was started on the Pakistani army. The independence war continued for long nine months. Many people including men, women and children were killed in this war. It is reported that at last thirty lac people died because of independence war. There was a massive destruction of bridge, culverts, roads and many institutions. However, the independence of Bangladesh was declared on 26 March, 1971 and the independence war ended on 16th December the same year.
